The W. G. Nelson Recreation Center is home to the athletic facilities and Physical Education Department. The facility includes Cybex weight training equipment, basketball, handball, and tennis courts. Athletic fields for football, soccer, and softball are behind the center. A swimming pool is located in the adjacent building, Lenheim Hall, on the ground level.

NBA Games
Several times during the academic year, students can choose to attend a NBA Game at the TD Banknorth Garden, Boston’s premier sports arena for a small fee that covers transportation and entrance fees. This year AUC will be attending the following games.

Strongman Competition – April 20th
On Sunday, April 20th at 7:00 p.m. students will compete in Heavyweight, Middleweight, and Lightweight classes in this contest. Come enjoy this annual event.
Intramural Sports Banquet – April 24th
Students who have distinguished themselves athletically during the year are honored at the Intramural Sports Banquet. Those who have participated in the program will be treated to a delightful meal and entertainment before the presentation of Individual and Team Awards. This year the banquet will be on Thursday, April 24th in Chan Shun Dining Commons Banquet Room
Paul Poyser, Jr. Memorial Triathlon – May 2nd
Test your strength and endurance by participation in the Paul Poyser, Jr. Memorial Triathlon on May 2nd at 1:30 p.m.. Events include an 18-lap swim, 3-mile run, and 5-mile bike ride. Competitors can choose to sign up as a team who will divide the events or individual participant.
