We welcome you to an inspiring place to discover great music!
In the mid-nineteenth century Reverend Nathaniel E. Thayer's wealthy sons constructed a palatial Victorian manse with the largest formal hall and staircase in New England. Today the Music Department at Atlantic Union College is housed in this historic mansion know as the Thayer Performing Arts Center. For over fifty years, hundreds of talented musicians, of all levels and ages, have been musically nurtured at this landmark community arts center. Our music faculty is comprised of some of the Greater Boston Area's finest performer-educators. They are dedicated to helping each student realize his or her musical dreams. Our students, faculty, and guest artists bring a wide array of outstanding programs that enrich our cultural community.
